prototype version 2!
update to Revelation! apart from a number of wording adjustments and little clarifications, here's what's new:
firstly, the balance between spool & molt has been adjusted in favour of the molt in a few ways, because playtesting showed it was actually very difficult to turn into a monster even if you were trying to and that just won't do at all!! so now all instances of suits needing to match for increased monstrosity have been changed to colours matching instead, and invoking cards in encounters has an effect on the invoker too, to offset the way that invoking cards actually re-raveled characters. also, the doubt option in reprieves now does something even when your molt is empty. that one was just an oversight!
secondly, the length of the game has been halved for higher player counts, because if your play group is anything like mine was they'll want to take their time with scenes, and even just one round of scenes will take a while! i might want to write some special advice for two-player games of Revelation in the finished version.
play advice, acknowledgements, and a proper PDF file are all TDB once the game's ready to be completed!
